Developed by Verte Elektronik, SSPDU-28D-16-238-CXX is a compact and low-profile Solid-State Power Distribution Unit (SSPDU) designed to operate reliably under harsh environmental conditions.

Featuring 16 independent output channels, the unit safely distributes input voltage in the 6–48 VDC range across connected loads. Each channel can be configured with different current ratings (8A, 10A, 25A) and supports parallel operation. The system delivers a total output current of 238A.

The device is tested and qualified according to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-1275E, and MIL-STD-461F standards, ensuring durability for land, air, and naval platforms. Remote configuration and status monitoring are possible via CAN (SAE J1939 compliant), RS-422, and RS-485 communication interfaces. User configurations can be stored in embedded EEPROM memory. Weighing only 1.57 kg, its compact design allows for space-saving installation and easy system integration.

With a configuration of 6×8A, 4×10A, and 6×25A channels, the unit allows channel paralleling to meet higher current demands when necessary. Configurable Protection and Test Functions

Each channel's instantaneous trip level, nominal current, and I²T characteristics can be configured by the user. This intelligent architecture enables the device to protect the system against sudden load demands, short circuits, or transient conditions caused by capacitive loads. With its Built-in Test (BIT) function, the device continuously monitors its health status.

Battle Mode and Emergency Shutdown Features

During critical operations, the user can activate Battle Override mode to bypass all fault conditions except short circuits. Similarly, the Emergency Shutdown function allows all outputs to be disabled with a single command. These features provide essential advantages in terms of both safety and mission continuity.

Compact, Quiet and Durable Design

With a height of just 25 mm, this device operates using a thermal conduction cooling method—meaning no fan is required. This ensures silent operation and enhanced mechanical reliability. Its rugged enclosure, tested to MIL-STD standards, enables dependable performance in any environment. Weighing only 1.57 kg, it adds minimal load during in-vehicle installations.
