Overview

SSPDU-270D-14-140-BXX is a solid-state power distribution unit (SSPDU) designed for demanding military platforms.

The device distributes 100–400 VDC input voltage to 14 independent 10A output channels. Each channel is equipped with user-configurable I²T protection and thermal memory against short circuits and overcurrent. Additionally, the output voltage rise time can be adjusted to limit inrush current for high-capacitance loads.

With the Battle Mode feature, protections can be temporarily bypassed during critical operations to maintain uninterrupted power flow. The channel paralleling feature enables solutions for systems with high current demands.
Through RS-485/RS-422 and CAN interfaces, system status can be monitored and configurations managed remotely. User settings are stored in internal memory and remain unaffected by power interruptions.

This model is designed for high reliability, offering a 20 times higher MTBF compared to traditional electromechanical PDUs and requires minimal maintenance.

The 14 independent output channels each support a 10A load capacity. These outputs are controlled via solid-state switching technology. The channel paralleling feature provides flexibility for high-current applications.

Intelligent Protection Systems

The device is equipped with safety features such as I²T (time-dependent current) protection, thermal memory, high-capacitance load control, and output voltage rise time management. These features enhance the longevity of system components.

Mission Modes: Battle Mode & Emergency Shutdown

Battle Mode allows protection systems to be temporarily bypassed during missions without compromising safety. The integrated Emergency Shutdown function enables the immediate shutdown of all outputs in critical situations.

Communication and Test Infrastructure

Control and monitoring are enabled via RS-485/RS-422 and CAN interfaces. User configurations are stored in the device's internal memory.
The continuous Built-in Test (BIT) system monitors the device’s own health status, ensuring low maintenance requirements and high reliability.
